Clearing clutter is a goal that many people have.  It is not a difficult task to clear clutter.  However, it can be very difficult to get started.  If you want to clear your clutter now rather than later it is important to arm yourself with these clutter busters.

One of the easiest clutter busters to get started with is to get rid of old mail, magazines and newspapers that are piling up.  These are probably things you don’t have a lot of attachment to, just haven’t taken the time to throw away or get rid of yet.  If part of your hesitation is adding more trash to the landfills, there are other places you could send the clutter. 

Think about donating them to a teacher or doctor’s office.  They always need things for people to read, and teachers can always add them to their lesson plans.  Clutter busters that are easy to get rid of and could potentially help someone else are definitely ones to add to your list!

Clutter busters that involve children’s toys and games are essential as well.  These can take over your entire house if you’re not careful.  However, you can’t expect your children to clear their clutter, if you’re not using clutter busters yourself.  Perhaps you could set a time where you will go through the toys with your children and organize everything together.  You could put in shelves and storage bins complete with an easy to use labeling system.

Other clutter busters involve getting the laundry piles where they belong.  Make sure that there is always a laundry basket in an easily accessible place in every room where people might change their clothes.  Clutter busters are impossible to implement if you don’t have the proper tools!  Having a hamper that is easily accessible will give a strong hint to your family that they need to help with the clutter and put everything in its place.

Clutter busters can also be very helpful to use in your kitchen.  How many times have you taken a bag of chips out of the cabinet, and then shoved them back in haphazardly?  This leads to a very overstuffed area that looks like a big cluttered mess.  If this is how your kitchen cabinets look, use these clutter busters! 

Buy bag chip clips to close the bags securely.  Also, buy organizational racks that will fit inside your cabinets.  If you do not already have shelves and areas of separation built in, make sure you buy them.  Another great thing to do is to buy labels.  That way, everyone in the family knows where to put food and other items back when they are finished with them. Remember, you need the right equipment in order for these clutter busters to work!

Once you have a handle on these clutter busters you can start to think of your own.  You will find that busting clutter will lead to a much nicer home, and a better outlook on life for you. The change in the way your home looks, and even feels, will be a welcome relief.
